Mobile Internet in Poland – November 2024 Overview

In November, T-Mobile once again cemented its leadership in 5G, topping the charts with both the highest average download (371.6 Mbps) and upload speeds (61.4 Mbps). Orange held on to second place in both categories, posting solid results of 305.7 Mbps for downloads and 54.3 Mbps for uploads. Meanwhile, Play and Plus followed with performance gaps similar to what we’ve seen in previous months.

Orange proved unbeatable when it came to the lowest average ping (20.8 ms), edging out T-Mobile (24.3 ms), Play (25.2 ms) and Plus (26.1 ms). The situation in 4G LTE further showcased T-Mobile’s dominance in download speeds (51 Mbps), significantly outdistancing its rivals. However, Play took the lead in average upload speeds (23.9 Mbps), narrowly overtaking T-Mobile (22.1 Mbps). Once again, Orange held on to its advantage with the lowest 4G LTE ping (27.7 ms), underlining clear distinctions among the operators in this category.

How did we collect data for the ranking?

The measurements are collected from users using our mobile application. It allows us to measure the basic parameters of the mobile network – including the level and quality of the signal depending on the technology in which the mobile device works, information about the mobile network operator or the country where the smartphone is located. In addition, on-demand Internet speed measurements are taken during downloads and uploads, as well as a latency test.

When the application notes a low-quality voice call, lack of mobile Internet service or other service, it has the ability to report the user’s current position where the service problem occurred.
