August – the last month of summer vacation – for many of us passed by carefree, soaking up the sun and gathering energy before the upcoming autumn-winter season. A constant companion during these moments of relaxation were smartphones and tablets, which gave us instant access to the Internet – whether by the lake, at the seaside, in the mountains, or during a short city break. Let’s take a look at what the quality and speed of mobile Internet in Poland looked like during this time.

Our August ranking is based on 279,479 measurements collected by users of the RFBENCHMARK mobile app. Thank you for your help and engagement!

RFBENCHMARK users most frequently tested Internet quality in the Orange network, which accounted for 32.2% of all measurements. A slightly smaller share was taken by Play – exactly 32.4%. The next places were taken by Plus (17.5% of tests) and T-Mobile (17.9%).

Mobile Internet in Poland – what did the situation look like in July 2025?

In July 2025, when measuring the quality of 5G mobile Internet, T-Mobile was the clear leader, reaching the highest average download speed (398.4 Mb/s) and upload speed (61.2 Mb/s). Orange came second, recording very high results in both categories – 378.3 Mb/s for download and 58.5 Mb/s for upload. It is also worth noting that Orange achieved the lowest ping delay (19.2 ms), which translates into smoother Internet usage. The next places were taken by Play (211.1 Mb/s download, 50.1 Mb/s upload, ping 22.1 ms) and Plus, whose results remained the lowest in this comparison.

Results for 4G LTE were also interesting. Here, T-Mobile once again led in download speed (56.9 Mb/s), ahead of Orange (47.4 Mb/s) and Play (43.6 Mb/s). In upload speed, Play came first – 22.0 Mb/s, just ahead of T-Mobile (21.6 Mb/s) and Orange (20.8 Mb/s). As for latency, Orange achieved the lowest average ping (26.7 ms), strengthening its position as an operator offering stable and fast LTE connections.

5G Results

Average download speed: T-Mobile (382.5 Mb/s)

In August 2025, T-Mobile remained the leader in 5G download speed with 382.5 Mb/s. Orange followed closely with 374.8 Mb/s. Both operators maintained strong momentum from July, although results were slightly lower than the month before (398.4 Mb/s and 378.3 Mb/s respectively). Play (215.4 Mb/s) and Plus (130.9 Mb/s) performed noticeably worse, remaining in the lower half of the ranking.

Average upload speed: T-Mobile (62.2 Mb/s)

T-Mobile also topped the upload category with 62.2 Mb/s, just ahead of Orange (60.1 Mb/s). The results of both operators are very close, showing that competition in this category remains tight. Play recorded 51.8 Mb/s, while Plus reached 27.4 Mb/s. Compared to July, changes are minimal and do not affect the overall order of the ranking.

Lowest ping: Orange (20.3 ms)

When it comes to latency, Orange led with an average ping of 20.3 ms. Next were Play (21.9 ms) and T-Mobile (23.6 ms). Plus once again had the highest latency – 27.0 ms. The trend remains stable: Orange and T-Mobile consistently maintain the best results, while Plus stays at the bottom of the table.

4G LTE Results

Average download speed: T-Mobile (61.1 Mb/s)

In LTE technology, T-Mobile again provided the fastest mobile Internet, achieving 61.1 Mb/s – slightly better than in July (56.9 Mb/s). Next came Orange (48.5 Mb/s), Play (44.5 Mb/s), and Plus (42.2 Mb/s). The ranking order remained unchanged from the previous month, indicating a consolidated market division in this category.

Average upload speed: T-Mobile (22.4 Mb/s)

For upload, T-Mobile took first place with 22.4 Mb/s, ahead of Play (21.8 Mb/s) and Orange (20.8 Mb/s). In July, Play was the leader, but the differences between the top three operators remain small, showing a comparable level of LTE service. Plus, with 18.1 Mb/s, still closes the ranking.

Lowest ping: Orange (26.7 ms)

In LTE latency, Orange leads with 26.7 ms, ahead of Play (29.7 ms) and T-Mobile (31.0 ms). Plus once again came last with 38.8 ms. As in July’s measurements, differences between operators are clear – especially between Orange and Plus.

How Did We Collect the Data for the Ranking?

Measurements are collected from users using our mobile application. Thanks to it, we can measure the basic parameters of the mobile network – including signal strength and quality depending on the technology used by the mobile device, information about the mobile network operator, and the country where the smartphone is located. Additionally, on demand, Internet speed measurements during download and upload are performed, as well as a latency test.

When the application detects a poor-quality voice connection, lack of mobile Internet services, or another issue, it has the ability to report the user’s current location where the problem occurred.
