The Notel Poland team is pleased to announce that they are about to start a series of measurements of the quality and speed of mobile Internet in Poland – this time using the Drive Test method. Every quarter, our expert team will conduct tests in different Polish cities to examine what changes have taken place in the local telecommunications market.
The main purpose of the tests will be to evaluate the services of popular Over-the-Top (OTT) applications, such as YouTube video streaming, Netflix, TikTok, and social media usage. Additionally, the quality and speed of connection in the popular team communication application, Microsoft Teams, will be tested. All measurements will be carried out using the latest equipment for measuring mobile network quality – modern Samsung phones and the PCTEL GFlex scanner, dedicated to analysing 5G network coverage, will be used.
Measurements will be carried out in the form of a benchmark, comparing the quality of service of the four major operators in Poland in real-time. This will allow for an objective assessment of which of them provides the best service in a given region.
The first stage of our journey will begin in late March/early April when our team will visit Warsaw. A report with the test results will be published in the second week of April. In the following quarters, research into the quality of mobile Internet services is planned in the cities of Kraków, Poznań, Wrocław, Upper Silesia, Łódź, Tricity, Lublin, Białystok, and the Toruń-Bydgoszcz agglomeration.
We invite you to follow our blog and social media, where we will regularly update you on the progress of our tests and publish the results. We are confident that this information will be extremely valuable to individual and business customers, giving them the opportunity to make an informed choice of the best mobile Internet operator in their region.
